Our client is a global leader in the automotive industry and they are currently seeking a Finance Analyst to join their team in Penang.

This role will support the financial controlling department of the plant necessary for the operational efficiency of the business unit. You will prepare financial analysis, reports, and budget forecasts, contribute to the design and management of the budget process, and ensure accuracy in financial statements by setting up internal control systems.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our client's financial controlling department. Your responsibilities will include preparing detailed financial analysis and reports, contributing to budget forecasts, and participating in monthly and yearly closings. You will also be instrumental in preventing inaccuracies in financial statements by setting up robust internal control systems and adopting appropriate policies for financial reporting. Additionally, you will review financial data periodically to ensure its fairness and completeness. Your role will also involve assisting with special projects as required.

The ideal candidate for this Finance Analyst position brings a wealth of experience in Financial Management and Control. You have a proven track record of contributing to the preparation of various data and analytics reports. Your ability to resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes sets you apart. You are proficient at conducting research using primary data sources and can interpret data to identify possible answers. Your experience evaluating costs and identifying variances or opportunities to improve profitability is essential. Furthermore, your knowledge of working within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals and understanding of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols will be invaluable in this role.

  • Proven 6 years of experience in Financial Management and Control.
  • Ability to contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports.
  • Experience resolving queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes.
  • Proficiency in conducting research using primary data sources.
  • Ability to interpret data and identify possible answers.
  • Experience evaluating costs and identifying variances or opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Experience working within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.
  • Knowledge of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols.
