An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join a leading multinational electronics manufacturing and production company.

This role is based in the vibrant city of Kedah, at a time when the company is experiencing significant growth and expansion, including the establishment of a new plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for overall P&L management for the Kulim site and Global business services office, reporting directly to the Site Controller. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making processes, drive cost productivity improvements, and lead a diverse team.

What you'll do:

As the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our operations in Kedah. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of managing the overall P&L for the plant. Your expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial management, and strategic planning will be crucial in driving cost productivity improvements and ensuring profitable growth. You will also have the opportunity to provide leadership, coaching, and development to your team members while working closely with corporate and regional FP&A teams.

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Oversee site/customer level financial management, bridging and deep dive analysis.
  • Take ownership of Customer P&L’s and financial profitability therein.
  • Lead monthly site/customer level P&L reviews with business and operation team, providing strategic and tactical direction & guidance.
  • Partner with business/operation teams to drive cost productivity improvement and profitable growth.
  • Review cost productivity projects and savings validation, providing direction to operations teams on project focus areas.
  • Handle quotation and repricing reviews, financial modelling and scenarios simulation.
  • Manage timely & efficient month/quarter/year end closing, costing and reporting processes, driving process improvements.
  • Oversee critical accounting processes including inventory management, costing, IFRS 15 revenue recognition, Warranty and other accounting standards.
  • Perform monthly critical balance sheet reconciliation and reviews.

What you bring:

The ideal Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will bring a wealth of experience in accounting, specifically within a manufacturing environment. You will have a proven track record of managing teams and driving financial success within a multinational corporation. Your strong analytical skills, coupled with your ability to negotiate and resolve problems, will be key to your success in this role. Your excellent communication and presentation skills will enable you to effectively liaise with both internal and external stakeholders. A good understanding of integrated business applications such as SAP is essential.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or professional qualification such as ACCA/CPA.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience inclusive of 3 years as People manager.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with experience handling inventory.
  • Experience working within a multinational corporation (MNC).
  • Good understanding of integrated business applications such as SAP.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of financial forecast, costing and managerial Accounting.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Significant skills required in multi-tasking and time management.
  • Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of employees.
