Senior Business Analyst

An exciting Senior Business Analyst job has just become available at one of the fastest growing retailers in Malaysia. This company is looking for an individual with three to four years of financial planning and analysis experience.

About the Senior Business Analyst Role:
In this role, you will be exposed to and be responsible for market expansion investment plan such as new store opening, project operation efficiency and maintenance spend in an MNC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end closing for head office cost
• Perform detailed business analysis by category and format, outlining risk, overall profitability and opportunities for the business
• Support business data and internal/external performance reporting needs
• Work closely with cross-functional team to plan and monitor forecast against budget
• Assist in annual budgeting and long term business plan process
• Provide financial insights that help decision making process, and align capital and resource allocation within the business budget
• Perform financial modelling by analysing financial information, linking P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, perform sensitivity analysis and evaluate key indicators (e.g. IRR, payback period, etc.) on capital investment proposals or business proposals to support sound business decisions
• Prepare financial papers and presentations on analysis and modelling performed for governance and board meeting.
• Perform post investment review to provide insights on key learnings and opportunities

To succeed in this Senior Business Analyst role, you must possess financial analysis, Excel, PowerPoint skills.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, ACCA, CIMA or a related discipline
• Experience in FMCG/Retail/Pharmaceutical industries is an advantage
• Minimum of four years of accounting/financial management experience
• Strong analysis skills with thorough understanding of financial analysis
