What you'll do:
- Oversee the timely preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, and Companies Act 2016.
- Lead the consolidation of group accounts including subsidiaries and associates to ensure accuracy of financial reporting and disclosures.
- Liaise with external auditors, internal auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and regulators to facilitate audit processes and statutory compliance.
- Strengthen the internal controls framework by implementing robust financial governance across all business units and supporting risk management processes.
- Drive the annual budgeting process as well as periodic forecasting exercises while providing financial modelling and scenario analysis for strategic initiatives.
- Monitor financial performance against budget targets by delivering variance analysis and insightful performance reporting to Board and Management.
- Oversee treasury operations including cash flow planning, banking facilities management, working capital optimisation, and relationships with financial institutions.
- Manage corporate tax planning activities including SST compliance, transfer pricing documentation, liaison with tax authorities on audits, and adaptation to evolving regulations.
- Supervise product costing procedures, inventory valuation methods, margin analysis techniques, accounting treatment of manufacturing overheads and R&D costs.
- Support operational teams with detailed financial analysis aimed at improving profitability and efficiency while strengthening inventory controls.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Finance or equivalent qualification is required for this position.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CA or MIA is mandatory for consideration.
- A minimum of 10–15 years’ relevant experience is essential with at least 5 years spent in a senior finance managerial capacity.
- Prior exposure to public-listed company environments is strongly preferred due to regulatory complexity.
- Experience within pharmaceutical, healthcare, manufacturing or other regulated industries will be highly advantageous.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, Companies Act 2016 is necessary.
- Proven track record handling group consolidation processes across multiple entities is expected.
- Expertise in corporate tax planning including SST compliance and transfer pricing documentation is vital.
- Exceptional analytical skills combined with effective stakeholder management abilities are required for success.
