Join a collaborative team focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement, where your contributions are celebrated and supported.
Work in an inclusive environment that values diversity, encourages knowledge sharing, and fosters genuine partnerships across all departments.
Benefit from flexible working opportunities and ongoing professional development within a global organisation recognised for its outstanding workplace culture.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Accountant based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be at the heart of financial operations for a leading travel management organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing complex accounting tasks across various markets, ensuring compliance with group policies, and delivering high-quality financial reports. You will collaborate closely with regional finance leaders to drive process optimisation while providing valuable insights through detailed analysis. Success in this role requires building strong relationships throughout the business, supporting commercial initiatives, and maintaining an unwavering commitment to accuracy under tight deadlines. Your ability to foster teamwork and contribute positively to the company’s culture will be key as you help shape best-in-class financial practices.

Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliation in accordance with group policy, conducting quarterly reviews with senior finance leaders and implementing timely remediations.
Contribute to robust financial control frameworks that enhance cost control measures and improve income protection across multiple jurisdictions.
Maintain strict adherence to group standards and accounting policies while supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting.
Manage critical deadlines including month-end close processes, ensuring trial balances are completed promptly and internal reporting requirements are met.
Prepare external reports such as statutory accounts, tax returns, audit support documentation, and group reporting submissions.
Deliver insightful commentary and analysis to ensure stakeholders have a clear understanding of underlying business performance.
Produce reliable mid-month forecasts and day-one flash forecasts, supporting quarterly reforecasting and annual budget cycles in collaboration with business leaders.
Provide ad-hoc analytical support to senior finance leaders and FP&A teams, responding quickly to requests and supporting business development activities regionally.
Build genuine partnerships across the business by offering both challenge and support to commercial thinking while fostering trust and mutual respect.
Take ownership of finance processes by optimising workflows, automating low-value tasks, and contributing actively to a culture of continuous improvement.

What you bring:

Your proven experience as a Senior Accountant will enable you to thrive in this multifaceted role. You bring deep technical expertise in accounting standards alongside practical skills in data analysis and process optimisation. Your interpersonal abilities allow you to build meaningful connections across teams while communicating complex information clearly. With exposure to international markets or a willingness to learn about them, you demonstrate adaptability in fast-changing environments. Your commitment to continuous improvement ensures that finance processes remain efficient and effective. By combining commercial awareness with empathy for colleagues’ needs, you contribute positively both operationally and culturally—making you an invaluable member of the team.

Qualified or near-qualified accountant with substantial experience in both financial and management accounting within complex environments.
Expertise working across different jurisdictions such as Australia, Singapore, India, China, or Japan is highly beneficial for this role.
Exposure to the travel industry would be advantageous but is not essential; willingness to learn about sector-specific challenges is important.
Advanced IFRS accounting knowledge combined with hands-on experience managing large data sets using Excel-based reporting tools.
Proficiency with BI tools and advanced Excel skills are required for effective analysis and reporting responsibilities.
Demonstrated track record of driving process improvements that result in greater efficiency within finance functions.
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) are essential for engaging stakeholders; additional language skills such as Mandarin, Cantonese or Japanese are beneficial but not mandatory.
A pragmatic approach to problem-solving in dynamic environments ensures you can respond effectively to changing priorities.
Commercial acumen enables you to recognise opportunities or risks within financial data and act accordingly for the benefit of the organisation.
A flexible team player who remains calm under pressure while meeting tight deadlines; strong customer service orientation when interacting with internal or external stakeholders.
