What you'll do:

As a Finance Executive based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be entrusted with key responsibilities that underpin the financial health of the organisation. Your day-to-day activities will involve managing core accounting functions such as processing payables and receivables, maintaining accurate records through diligent data entry, and supporting the preparation of detailed management reports. You will also play an important role in facilitating effective communication between the finance department and other teams within the business, ensuring that all required information is obtained promptly for seamless operations. By liaising with external parties including auditors and tax agents, you will help uphold compliance standards while gaining valuable exposure to industry best practices. Success in this position requires not only technical proficiency but also strong interpersonal skills and a genuine commitment to supporting your colleagues throughout busy reporting cycles.

  • Assist in preparing full sets of accounts and comprehensive monthly management reports to ensure accurate financial representation for the organisation.
  • Handle daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash management, cash flow monitoring, staff claims, and commission payments with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Accurately post data for journal vouchers, payments, and receipts into the accounting system in strict accordance with established company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain thorough accounting records by performing regular bank reconciliations and implementing robust document control processes to support audit readiness.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues from other departments to gather necessary information, resolve discrepancies efficiently, and provide timely finance-related support as needed.
  • Liaise professionally with external auditors during annual audits as well as tax agents, bankers, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance and smooth financial operations.
  • Undertake additional related tasks as directed by your immediate superior from time to time, demonstrating adaptability and willingness to support the wider finance function.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Finance Executive position brings proven experience in managing complex accounting tasks within fast-moving environments. Your educational background equips you with solid theoretical knowledge while your hands-on experience ensures practical expertise in areas such as account reconciliation, report preparation, and stakeholder engagement. You are known for your reliability when it comes to meeting deadlines during critical reporting periods thanks to your adaptable approach. Your interpersonal skills foster positive relationships both internally among team members and externally with auditors or banking partners. Above all else, your commitment to accuracy ensures that every transaction is recorded correctly—contributing directly to the overall success of the finance function.

  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; holding or pursuing professional certification such as ACCA or CPA would be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrate at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles within reputable organisations.
  • Exhibit excellent communication abilities that enable you to work harmoniously with colleagues across different departments as well as external stakeholders.
  • Showcase strong analytical skills that allow you to interpret financial data accurately and identify areas for improvement or concern.
  • Display flexibility regarding working hours during peak periods such as month-end or year-end closing cycles.
  • Maintain high levels of attention to detail when handling sensitive financial information including journal entries, payments, receipts, and reconciliations.
