Assistant Finance Manager

What you'll do:

As an Assistant Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing various reporting functions within the organisation. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate submission of monthly and quarterly reports. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be utilised as you coordinate and consolidate the annual budget plan across all regions. Your ability to delegate tasks effectively will be essential as you guide your team towards meeting strategic targets. Additionally, your strong interpersonal skills will come into play as you liaise with all levels of management on monthly financial reports and annual budget exercises.

• Assist in reviewing and coordinating the drafting of the monthly division reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly division and quarterly reports.
• Coordinate and consolidate the annual budget plan across all Regions.
• Work with other regions to provide reporting on key Division initiatives.
• Delegate work to Senior Executive, provide guidance and review to ensure strategic targets are met.
• Liaise with all levels of management on monthly financial reports and annual Budget exercise.
• Prepare monthly analysis of business performance.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Finance Manager position brings a wealth of experience in finance, accounting, and reporting. Your background includes working in a medium to large audit firm where you gained exposure to Group consolidation. You hold a degree in Accounting from a recognised University and a minimum professional accounting qualification. Your excellent command of written and verbal English will be crucial in this role.

• A degree in Accounting from a recognised University with a Bachelor's in Accountancy.
• A minimum professional accounting qualification (Australian CPA, Malaysian - MICPA, UK - ACCA, IC A EW) and membership of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants
• Experience in a medium to large audit firm with exposure to Group consolidation and knowledge.
• Thorough knowledge of Consolidation of group financial statements in accordance with generally applicable accounting standards (i.e. FRS) in Malaysia.
• Good command in written and verbal English.
