This client, a leading player in the manufacturing of metal products, is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to handle a variety of accounting tasks and contribute to the financial health of the company. The successful candidate will have the chance to work with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

What you'll do:

As an Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of this client's business. Your daily tasks will involve handling various accounting duties, from managing invoices to maintaining the general ledger. You will also be responsible for preparing monthly financial reports and assisting with closing processes. Your role extends beyond numbers as you will also provide excellent customer service to stakeholders. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to upholding high standards of compliance.

  • Handling day-to-day accounting tasks such as invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
  • Preparing monthly financial reports and statements
  • Assisting with the month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc projects and analyses
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Account Executive position brings a wealth of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles within the manufacturing industry. You possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and are proficient in using relevant software like QuickBooks or Xero. Your excellent attention to detail allows you to work accurately even under pressure. With your good communication skills, you can effectively liaise with colleagues and clients alike. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel is essential for this role. Above all, your self-motivation and organisational skills enable you to prioritise tasks effectively.

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, practices and software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and clients
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Self-motivated, organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively
