Our client, a public-listed service company with over four decades of experience in the Malaysian oil and gas industry, is seeking a Senior Accounts Executive. This role offers an attractive salary range of RM60,000 to RM72,000 and is based in the vibrant location of Bangsar. The successful candidate will be part of a team that specialises in providing services related to power & machinery, oilfield services, and integrated corrosion solutions.

What you'll do:
As a Senior Accounts Executive, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the full set of accounts through performing a full spectrum of General Ledger functions. You will be responsible for monthly account closings and variance analysis, preparing annual audited accounts, tax computations, and yearly budgets. Your expertise will also be required in updating the fixed asset register and ensuring the completeness of accruals, provisions, and prepayments. Furthermore, you will liaise with various stakeholders including auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and bankers.
- Perform full spectrum of General Ledger function to maintain full set of accounts
- Perform monthly closing of accounts and variance analysis
- Prepare annual audited accounts
- Prepare tax and deferred tax computation
- Prepare yearly budget and forecast and perform financial analysis for management review
- Update fixed asset register regularly
- Ensure completeness of accruals, provisions and prepayments
- Estimate forecast profitability for the purpose of estimating interim tax payments
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary and bankers
- Review tender costing and commercial proposals
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Senior Accounts Executive position should possess at least a Professional Certificate, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent. You should have a proven track record with commercial experience with 2-3 years’ experience in Big 10 audit firm. Your ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines will be crucial in this role. As a committed team player with good communication and interpersonal skills, you will fit perfectly into our collaborative environment. Your analytical nature and meticulous attention to detail will be key assets in this role.
