What you'll do:
As a Senior Finance Executive in Reporting, you will play a crucial role within our client's finance team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the preparation of accurate financial statements while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will also contribute significantly to the annual audit process by preparing audit schedules and liaising with external auditors. Your expertise will be invaluable in developing policies aimed at improving financial reporting processes. Furthermore, your insightful financial analysis will guide strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, you will ensure alignment and accuracy in all financial reporting.
* Assist in the preparation and timely delivery of accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with MFRS or other relevant standards.
* Support compliance efforts with all regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.
* Assist in coordinating the annual audit process, including the preparation of audit schedules and liaising with external auditors.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures aimed at improving financial reporting processes and controls.
* Provide financial analysis and insights to aid in strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including accounting and finance teams, to ensure alignment and accuracy in financial reporting.
* Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and standards, and assist in assessing their impact on the organisation.
* Assist in preparing management discussion and analysis sections for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
* Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Senior Finance Executive role brings a wealth of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or auditing. You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and have a strong understanding of MFRS and other relevant accounting standards. Your proficiency in financial reporting software and ERP systems will be crucial to your success in this role. Your excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to present complex financial information clearly will set you apart. Lastly, your ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines will be essential.
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
* Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or auditing.
* Strong knowledge of MFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
* Proficient in financial reporting software and ERP systems; experience with specific software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
* Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
