What you'll do:
As an Executive in the General Ledger team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the financial operations. You will be responsible for monitoring accruals, validating documents, and working closely with other teams to ensure complete inter-company transactions. Your role will also involve preparing schedules and reports, as well as participating in process improvements within the Finance department. This role requires a meticulous individual who can handle multiple responsibilities while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
* Ensure accounting processes and journal entries are in accordance with relevant accounting principles, internal controls, and group policy
* Monitor accrual/provisioning amounts on a regular basis
* Ensure all documents are validated and processed before month-end closing or stipulated deadline
* Work closely with other regional Finance Operations team to ensure completeness of inter-company transactions
* Prepare relevant schedules and reports for additional financial information compilation
* Participate in the development of process improvement in Finance and uphold modernisation of finance skillsets
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Executive, General Ledger position brings a wealth of finance experience, strong internal controls background, and excellent communication skills. You should have a proven track record in growing within a team and implementing transformational changes. Your ability to learn and adapt to new technologies will be key in this role. A strong command of English is essential as you will be communicating with various stakeholders across different levels within the organisation.
* Minimum of three years' finance experience in a progressively growing capacity.
* Diploma/Degree (any level), preferably in finance, and/or Accounting qualification (any type).
* Strong internal controls background, industry knowledge of best practice for finance operations.
* Strong command of written and verbal English.
* Proven experience in growing within a team and implementing transformation with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
* Great interpersonal and communication skills to handle challenging discussion with diplomacy and logic.
