What you'll do:
As a Cost Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in driving our client's financial success. Your primary responsibilities will include managing reporting activities, analysing budget standards against actual financial performance, monitoring PnL trends, and overseeing departmental KPIs. You will also be tasked with improving inventory reporting accuracy, coordinating yearly budget exercises, preparing forecasts as needed, and overseeing the standard costing of all products. Additionally, you will monitor sales and shipments while analysing weekly and monthly sales performance. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to excellence.
- Manage reporting including analysis of budget/standard against actual financial performance
- Monitor and analyse PnL and expenses trend and deviation
- Report on departmental KPIs and improve inventory reporting accuracy
- Propose ways to enhance transparency of inventory movements by utilising and enhancing the system
- Coordinate yearly budget exercise and prepare forecasts when required
- Prepare and analyse Monthly Pricing Guidelines for Regional Sales Directors
- Oversee the standard costing of all glove products
- Monitor sales and shipments, analyse weekly and monthly sales performance
- Monitor latex yield loss, rejections, utilities consumption and labour productivity
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Cost Accountant position brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in accounting or finance. You hold a Degree/Diploma in Accounting/Finance or are certified by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Your familiarity with MS Office Suite and JD Edward system will be crucial in this role. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment along with product costing is highly desirable. Your proven ability to perform variance/deviation analysis will set you apart from other candidates.
