Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team in Bukit Jalil. What you'll do:
As an Accountant, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of the finance department. You will be responsible for preparing monthly accounts and financial reports while adhering to statutory requirements. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be utilised as you manage project implementations and system upgrades. Your ability to multitask will be key as you handle tax matters including GST/SST filing and corporate tax.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing.
- Prepare monthly accounts and financial reports in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Oversee the full sets of accounts and financing functions for the assigned entity.
- Assist in budget forecasting and financial analysis of P&L and balance sheet.
- Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities.
- Manage project implementations and system upgrades to comply with new operational or legal requirements.
- Prepare tax computations, estimates, and ensure timely and effective tax compliance in accordance with relevant legislation.
- Handle tax matters, including GST/SST filing and corporate tax.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Accountant role brings a wealth of experience in handling full set accounts and finance operations. Your Bachelor's Degree in Accounting coupled with your professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/MICPA/MIA) sets you apart. Your ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining a high level of integrity is crucial. Proficiency in MS Office, MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks along with familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics will be advantageous.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with a professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/MICPA/MIA).
- Minimum of 6-7 years of experience handling full set accounts and finance operations.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Proficient in MS Office, MYOB, Xero, and QuickBooks; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage.
- Experience in systems migration exercises, group consolidation, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and Power BI is an added advantage.
