An exciting AR Accountant job has just become available at a multinational company based in Malaysia. This company is looking for an individual with five to six years of experience within the AR function.

About the AR Accountant Role:
You will manage all aspects of credit and collections for a portfolio of accounts including analysis of credit risk, establishment of credit lines, and collection strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manages portfolio of accounts including analysis of credit risk, establishment of credit lines, execution of collection strategies, and development of strong working relationships with customer base
• Delivers monthly reviews to the management as well as monitoring of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and their drivers
• Administers collection policies and procedures
• Takes actions to mitigate losses
• Performs AR account reconciliation, analysis and collection calls to support the collection process
• Records and posts collection transactions
• Manages customer master maintenance
• Manages bad debt reserve analysis and control with recommendations to the supervisor
• Works with the ASEAN team on the optimal utilisation of credit and collection tools/reports to ensure effective management across the full spectrum of accounts in each portfolio
• Provides accounting support and handles assigned tasks upon request
• Supports process improvement projects covering from AR/AP/month-end closing processes

To succeed in this AR Accountant role, you must be able to cover the administering credit policies and procedures to minimise loss of credit losses and maximise collection achievement.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration
• Three to four years of work experience in accounting
• Strong preference for candidates with SAP knowledge
• Good communication skill (English and Bahasa Malaysia)
• Positive attitude and hardworking
• Ability to work independently
