An exciting Accountant job has just become available at one of the MNCs based in Selangor.

About the Accountant Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for assisting the Finance Manager with all financial and accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for monthly close processes
• Be responsible for various balance sheet accounts reconciliations
• Manage the preparation of the company’s financial accounting to ensure compliance with latest local accounting standards, taxation regulations, internal company policies and group accounting policies
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and completion of any necessary tax returns (withholding taxes, corporate taxes)
• Assist with preparation and reporting of monthly forecasting and annual budgetary data
• Assist in implementing budgetary and expenditure control measures that are aligned with business objectives
• Prepare and present financial statements, management reports, financial analysis and projects in addition to ad hoc reporting
• Be responsible for timely reporting of monthly/quarterly financial information, including preparation of financial reports and relevant disclosures

To succeed in this Accountant role, you must possess good critical-thinking skills to gather all of the available data and make informed decisions.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field
• Minimum of three to five years of experience in finance and accounting, ideally within ASEAN finance operations
• Experience of data analysis with the ability to analyse complex information and present in a concise format
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
• Strong communications skills both verbal and written across all levels of an organisation
