An exciting Accountant job has just become available at a renowned retailer based in Kuala Lumpur. This role requires you to be responsible for company’s investment analysis and financial planning function whilst working very closely with management team in a very dynamic retail environment.
About the Accountant Role:
This role requires you to be responsible for providing timely and accurate management reports and analysis to the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and analysing of monthly consolidated management reporting decks
- Measuring and setting performance
- Providing financial consulting to management, impact studies of emerging events, feasibility studies and business scenario simulations
- Driving annual budgeting and ad hoc reforecast processes
- Preparing presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management Team
- Tracking competitors and industry
- Supporting in compliance of judgement/forecast-focused accounting standards
- Tracking and reporting ESG
To succeed in this role, you must be strong in people management, critical thinking and have the right mindset for the job.
Key Requirements:
- Member of either of a Professional Accounting Association, e.g. MIA, CPA, ACCA
- More than three years of relevant work experience. Solid experience in statutory books, management reporting and financial modelling
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Open-minded goal-getter
- Good communicator and problem solver
- Ability to roll up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity
- Experience with multi outlet retail/services is preferred
