An exciting Assistant Finance Manager job has just become available at a manufacturing company based in Johor Bahru, Senai. This company is looking for an individual with five to six years of strong accounting experience relating to the full set of accounts.
About the Assistant Finance Manager Role:
This role is focused on working closely with the Finance Manager and supporting month-end closing processes and the full set of accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, half yearly and yearly reporting package and variance analysis
- Check monthly journal vouchers and bank reconciliations
- Prepare creditor reconciliations in a proper and timely manner
- Perform spare parts and uniform stock count monthly. Prepare spare part costing worksheet and spare part reconciliation
- Computation of monthly corporate tax provision and handle other tax matters
- Prepare documentation for government agencies (Customs Department, Inland Revenue Board (IRB), MIDA, Department of Statistics, Bank Negara Malaysia and Others)
- Review Capital Expenditure Request/Approval Form and ensure fixed assets system are properly maintained
- Prepare and review payment vouchers for local and overseas suppliers against supporting documents
- Assist to develop, implement and maintain systems, procedures, policies and internal control
- IT related matters - liaise between departments if any IT issue and others
- Undertake ad hoc assignments as required from time to time by the management
To succeed in this Assistant Finance Manager role, you must be able to handle full set of accounting, ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial report and other related schedules.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Finance/Accounting
- More than five years' relevant and practical work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, SQL Accounting System & hands-on experience in SAP is an advantage
- Good understanding of computer systems and other tech products
- Strong verbal and written communication skills both in English as well as in the Malay language
