What you'll do:

  • Oversee the management of full set accounts including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, fixed assets, and consolidation accounts for several subsidiaries.
  • Process all daily financial transactions with accuracy and promptness to maintain reliable records.
  • Supervise monthly financial closing procedures, ensuring completion within deadlines and adherence to high standards of precision.
  • Generate comprehensive financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved swiftly.
  • Prepare and manage the annual budgeting process by aligning it closely with the company’s strategic objectives and operational needs.
  • Analyse costs, pricing structures, variable contributions, and sales results to assess financial performance against established business plans.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department while ensuring compliance with key performance indicators (KPIs) and organisational policies.
  • Manage cash flow effectively by maintaining liquidity and sufficient cash reserves for ongoing financial stability.
  • Monitor daily cash flow operations to guarantee funds are available for essential business activities without interruption.
  • Coordinate timely tax filing processes while liaising with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and ensuring statutory compliance at all times.

What you bring:

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification with at least five years of relevant experience managing full sets of accounts.
  • Proven track record in handling corporate tax matters, cash flow management, audit processes, and consolidation accounting for multiple subsidiaries.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software applications as well as MS Excel; ability to analyse complex data sets and generate detailed financial reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and stakeholders within an organisation.
  • Strong analytical skills paired with a considerate approach to problem-solving; able to interpret financial information sensitively for different audiences.
  • Experience working in Retail or Food & Beverage sectors is considered a bonus but not mandatory.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills that foster trust among colleagues and support communal decision-making processes.
  • Dependable work ethic with commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all financial dealings.
  • Responsive attitude towards statutory compliance requirements including tax filing coordination with auditors, bankers, and tax agents.
