A leading renewable energy and engineering company is seeking a Regional Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in supporting the clean energy transition across Asia. Based in Petaling Jaya, this position offers you the opportunity to be at the heart of financial operations for projects spanning Malaysia, Singapore, Bangladesh, Philippines, China, and Indonesia. You will be instrumental in ensuring robust financial discipline, overseeing project costing, cashflow forecasting, treasury management, and comprehensive reporting for large-scale EPC initiatives. This is an exceptional chance to contribute to sustainable infrastructure while enjoying regional exposure, competitive compensation, and genuine growth prospects within an entrepreneurial environment that values your expertise and commitment.

* Be part of a mission-driven organisation accelerating clean energy adoption across multiple Asian markets through engineering excellence and sustainable project execution.
* Enjoy a highly competitive salary package ranging from RM144,000 to RM168,000 per annum with additional incentives and clear pathways for professional development.
* Experience exciting working opportunities and collaborate with knowledgeable teams on high-impact projects that shape the future of renewable energy in the region.

What you'll do:

As a Regional Finance Manager, you will be entrusted with end-to-end responsibility for managing the financial health of complex engineering projects across several Asian countries. Your day-to-day activities will involve developing robust budgets for large-scale solar installations, tracking costs against projections, implementing effective controls, and supporting bid pricing through advanced modelling. You will also take charge of cashflow forecasting—ensuring funds are available when needed—and oversee treasury functions such as payments, collections, and bank liaison. Producing insightful monthly reports will be key to maintaining transparency and compliance. Success in this role hinges on your ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including project managers, engineers, procurement specialists, and senior leadership. Your contributions will directly impact the company’s ability to deliver sustainable infrastructure efficiently while upholding the highest standards of financial stewardship.

* Develop and manage detailed budgets for utility-scale solar installations, ensuring all financial aspects are meticulously planned and executed throughout each project phase.
* Track actual expenditures against established budgets, implementing cost controls and conducting thorough variance analysis to maintain financial integrity.
* Support bid pricing activities by providing accurate financial modelling and insights that inform strategic decision-making for new projects.
* Maintain rolling cashflow forecasts to ensure ongoing visibility of funding requirements and proactively manage liquidity across multiple jurisdictions.
* Oversee payments, collections, and fund allocations while liaising with banking partners for drawdowns and facilities to support seamless project delivery.
* Monitor milestone funding closely to guarantee timely disbursement of resources necessary for successful project execution.
* Produce comprehensive monthly financial reports and dashboards that provide transparency into project performance and support statutory compliance requirements.
* Collaborate extensively with project management, procurement, and engineering teams to align financial objectives with operational goals.
* Support group-level reporting processes and capital planning initiatives by delivering reliable data and actionable insights.
* Provide critical financial input during negotiations and risk assessments to safeguard organisational interests.

What you bring:

Your proven background as a Regional Finance Manager or similar role within the renewable energy or engineering sector will set you up for success in this position. You bring not only technical expertise but also a collaborative spirit that enables you to connect with stakeholders at every level—from site engineers to executive leadership. Your attention to detail ensures accuracy in budgeting and reporting while your adaptability allows you to navigate the complexities of operating across multiple countries. With strong communication skills, you foster trust among team members by sharing knowledge openly and responding thoughtfully to challenges. Your understanding of both local regulations and international best practices means you can balance compliance with innovation. Above all, your passion for contributing positively to society through sustainable infrastructure makes you an invaluable asset to any forward-thinking organisation.

* Hold a degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or ACCA qualification is preferred as it demonstrates your technical proficiency and commitment to best practices.
* Bring 5–8 years’ experience in finance roles within EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction), construction or renewables sectors where you have managed complex multi-country projects.
* Demonstrate strong skills in project costing, work-in-progress accounting (WIP), and cashflow modelling which enable you to anticipate challenges before they arise.
* Possess hands-on experience in treasury management including working capital optimisation across diverse business units or geographies.
* Show proficiency in ERP systems such as Dynamics 365 or similar platforms that streamline reporting and enhance operational efficiency.
* Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills that allow you to collaborate effectively with colleagues from different departments and cultural backgrounds.
* Display a dependable approach towards statutory compliance by supporting audits and ensuring all regulatory obligations are met without exception.
* Have a track record of providing valuable financial insights during negotiations or risk assessments that influence positive outcomes for your organisation.
* Demonstrate sensitivity towards sustainability goals by aligning financial strategies with broader environmental objectives.
