What you'll do:
As Manager, Group Reporting at A Real Estate and Property Development Group based in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, you will be entrusted with overseeing the end-to-end process of preparing consolidated financial statements for a dynamic organisation operating across real estate and infrastructure sectors. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing complex group consolidations while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards. You will collaborate extensively with both internal stakeholders—such as subsidiaries’ finance teams—and external parties like auditors or tax agents. By providing insightful analysis on group performance trends and supporting strategic planning through detailed financial modelling, you will help shape key business decisions. In addition to routine reporting duties, you will participate in special projects such as mergers or acquisitions that require advanced due diligence skills. * Lead and manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for the Group in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and other relevant frameworks.
* Ensure accurate and timely consolidation of financial results from various subsidiaries, joint ventures, and associates involved in real estate and infrastructure development.
* Oversee intercompany reconciliation and elimination processes to maintain the integrity of consolidated data across all entities.
* Ensure full compliance with statutory reporting requirements such as Companies Act, Bursa Malaysia listing rules, Securities Commission regulations, and other authorities.
* Liaise effectively with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries on audit matters, tax filings, and statutory submissions.
* Review and coordinate the preparation of audited financial statements and annual reports at the Group level to ensure completeness and accuracy.
* Analyse Group-level financial performance by identifying variances and providing actionable insights to senior management for informed decision-making.
* Support the CFO and leadership team with financial models, scenario analyses, projections for strategic planning, business expansion or capital deployment initiatives.
* Collaborate closely with subsidiaries and project teams to coordinate budgeting processes, rolling forecasts, consolidation activities, and variance analysis.
* Develop, implement, and maintain robust Group financial reporting policies, guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), as well as enhance internal controls related to financial reporting.

* Comprehensive understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), Companies Act requirements, Bursa Malaysia listing rules, Securities Commission regulations as well as other statutory obligations.
* Demonstrated ability to oversee intercompany reconciliations including eliminations processes for complex group structures involving multiple subsidiaries or joint ventures.
* Strong analytical skills enabling you to interpret group-level financial performance data; provide actionable recommendations; support scenario analysis; prepare projections for senior management.
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills allowing you to liaise effectively with external auditors; tax agents; company secretaries; investor relations teams; corporate planning departments.
* Experience coordinating budgeting processes—including rolling forecasts—across diverse business units while ensuring consistency in assumptions; templates; timelines.
* Track record of developing robust financial reporting policies; guidelines; SOPs along with enhancing internal controls related to documentation; compliance monitoring.
* Familiarity with ERP systems or consolidation tools used for streamlining reporting accuracy; efficiency improvements within finance transformation programmes.
