What you'll do:
As Finance Manager based in Shah Alam, you will be entrusted with overseeing every aspect of the company's financial operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing monthly reporting cycles with precision and clarity while collaborating closely with senior leaders to ensure sound planning and budgeting. You will be instrumental in preparing reconciliations that stand up to scrutiny during audits or reviews. By translating complex data into actionable insights for management teams—and doing so proactively—you will help shape key decisions that drive business success. You’ll also coordinate year-end closes efficiently while maintaining strict compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Your role extends beyond numbers: you’ll foster strong relationships with external partners such as auditors or regulators while continuously reviewing internal controls for improvement. Through diligent documentation practices and structured contract reviews each month with operational teams, you’ll ensure ongoing business continuity. - Own and deliver the complete monthly financial reporting cycle, ensuring reports are accurate, comprehensive, analytically robust, and issued on time with clear variance analysis and management commentary.
- Lead and coordinate all financial components of company activities by working closely with senior management to support planning, budgeting, forecasting, commercial negotiations, and maintaining discipline across all processes.
- Prepare, review, and document monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all general ledger accounts so that items are fully supported, clearly explained, timely resolved, and ready for audit or management review.
- Advise and educate management on financial matters impacting operations by translating data into clear commercial insight that highlights risks and opportunities early enough to influence decisions.
- Coordinate the year-end financial close including statutory trial balance preparation, tax computations, audited statements delivery—ensuring everything is audit-ready with no late adjustments or surprises.
- Manage all Group reporting requirements by ensuring compliance with timelines, data quality standards, submission protocols while proactively escalating risks or constraints before deadlines approach.
- Maintain full accountability for compliance with all applicable financial reporting, taxation, licensing, and statutory requirements in Malaysia (and other relevant territories), tracking obligations meticulously.
- Support performance monitoring, decision-making, budgeting, cash flow management by providing timely insight; coordinate professionally with auditors, tax agents, regulatory bodies for transparent engagement.
- Review risk management processes regularly to identify potential control weaknesses and recommend improvements as needed.
- Establish thorough financial files and documentation according to policy so records remain clear, traceable, accessible for review or audit at any time.

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent qualification such as ACCA or CPA is required to demonstrate foundational expertise.
- Proven experience in general accounting as well as cost accounting—including budget preparation—is essential for success in this role.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, index-match functions) plus familiarity with Office 365 preferred.
- Up-to-date knowledge of approved accounting standards issued by MASB (MFRS), Companies Act regulations in Malaysia is necessary.
- Comprehensive understanding of Malaysian tax regulations along with relevant laws governing finance operations is expected.
