What you'll do:
As Finance Manager based in Petaling Jaya, you will be entrusted with overseeing the full spectrum of finance operations for several entities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve preparing detailed management accounts and financial reports with precision, ensuring compliance with both internal policies and external regulations. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders including senior management, auditors, bankers, and regulatory bodies. - Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly management accounts, comprehensive financial reports, and annual audited accounts for all assigned entities.
- Analyse actual financial results against budgeted figures to identify cost reduction opportunities and provide insightful recommendations.
- Review all accounting functions including journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly closing activities to maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Verify all financial transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards and strict adherence to internal control policies and procedures.
- Prepare tax computations, ensure timely compliance with tax regulations, and assist with effective tax planning strategies.
- Oversee treasury functions such as cash management and cash flow forecasts to optimise financial resources.
- Liaise with bankers, auditors, tax agents, company secretary, lawyers, and government regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth operations and meet statutory requirements.
- Meet deadlines for all returns required by relevant authorities while maintaining meticulous records.
- Prepare inputs and analysis for budget planning processes to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide analytical support on feasibility studies for new projects while supervising and motivating subordinates to enhance productivity and work commitment.
What you bring:
To excel as Finance Manager in this organisation, your proven track record should reflect substantial experience in finance management roles where you have demonstrated reliability in handling complex accounting functions. Your background may include exposure to property development or related industries where bridge financing knowledge has been applied. Familiarity with ESG compliance adds further value as does experience with consolidation processes. - Possess a degree in Accounting or Finance or hold a recognised professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA or similar credentials.
- Demonstrate at least 8 years of relevant experience in finance roles with a minimum of 3 years at management level within reputable organisations.
- Showcase familiarity with property development industry practices which would be highly advantageous for this position.
- Display knowledge of bridge financing mechanisms as well as basic consolidation experience which would be beneficial.
- Understand Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) compliance requirements; prior exposure is considered an added advantage.
- Exhibit proficiency in using computerised accounting systems to streamline financial processes efficiently.
- Maintain a high level of integrity in all dealings while demonstrating natural attention to detail and accuracy in every task undertaken.
- Communicate effectively in English both written and oral forms to interact confidently with internal teams and external partners.
