Finance Manager (Public-Listed Property Developer)

Our client, a leading public-listed property developer in Malaysia with over 30 years of experience, is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team in Putrajaya. They have an impressive portfolio of major townships and commercial hubs across key regions such as Klang Valley, Penang, and Johor, and have expanded internationally to Singapore and China. This role offers the opportunity to work within an integrated developer that builds and manages its own investment properties, including shopping malls, office buildings, hotels, and golf courses.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in the financial operations of our client's diverse portfolio. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the accurate and timely submission of management accounts, monitoring budgets against actual performance, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and managing the annual audit process. You will also be responsible for compiling the annual budget, approving payments and fund transfers, training staff on reporting guidelines, and improving financial processes to meet business requirements.

* Ensure accurate and timely submission of monthly/quarterly management accounts for assigned companies.
* Monitor township budget and profitability statements against actual performance.
* Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
* In charge of annual audit planning.
* Responsible for township/annual budget compilation.
* Review/approve payment/funds transfer request on assigned companies.
* Train staff on MFRSs/SST reporting guidelines.
* Improve financial process flow to meet business requirements.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager position brings a wealth of experience from the property development industry. With a minimum of 8 years' relevant experience under your belt, you are well-versed in all aspects of financial management. You hold a degree in Finance or a professional qualification such as ACCA/CIMA/MIA or equivalent. Your proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of the IFCA system will be highly beneficial in this role. Your strong analytical skills enable you to make sound decisions while your ability to work independently ensures that tasks are completed efficiently. Above all, your commitment and strong sense of responsibility set you apart.

* Degree in Finance or professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/MIA or equivalent).
* Minimum of 8 years' relevant working experience from property development industry.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge in using IFCA system is preferred.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Commitment with strong sense of responsibility.
