Our client is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Finance Manager to join their team in Petaling Jaya. This role offers the opportunity to be based at the local finance team andoversee, assess, and coordinate with the Shared Service Centre (SSC) team on month-end closing, account reconciliation, and journal entry processes. What you'll do:

As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the SSC team's operations, including month-end closing, account reconciliation, and journal entry processes. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate policies by maintaining robust internal controls. Your role will also involve managing both internal and external audit preparations for SOX, statutory interim, and year-end financial statement audits. You will be expected to strictly adhere to agreed timelines. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to drive process improvement initiatives for general accounting processes.

  • Oversee the SSC team on month-end closing, account reconciliation, and journal entry processes
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies by maintaining internal controls
  • Effectively execute all related SOX and business operational controls
  • Manage internal and external audit preparations for SOX, statutory interim, and year-end financial statement audits
  • Strictly adhere to agreed timelines
  • Drive and implement process improvement initiatives for general accounting processes

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager position brings a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA or CFA. You have amassed 6-10 years of experience with strong technical accounting expertise in a multinational company or a reputable audit firm. Your strong analytical skills give you a deep understanding of financial statement impact. You have proven your ability to conduct research, resolve issues effectively and solve problems and conflicts. Your in-depth knowledge of general accounting processes, governance and internal controls sets you apart. Your excellent communication and presentation skills, coupled with your strong business acumen, make you a standout candidate. Proficiency in English is required for this role.
