Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager / Manager for their Finance department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee financial reporting, general ledger processes, treasury and fund flow management, as well as process improvement and compliance. What you'll do:

As an Assistant Manager / Manager in Finance, your role will be pivotal in overseeing the company's financial operations. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting in line with accounting standards. Your excellent skills in managing the general ledger process will be crucial in maintaining the company's financial integrity. Additionally, you will manage daily fund flows while working closely with banks for funding needs. Your ability to identify process improvements will play a key role in enhancing operational efficiency.

  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the general ledger process, ensuring proper recording, reconciliation, and analysis of financial transactions.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard financial integrity and compliance.
  • Support external and internal audit requirements, ensuring proper documentation and explanations.
  • Manage daily fund flows and ensure optimal liquidity to meet business obligations.
  • Monitor and oversee bank accounts, ensuring accurate reconciliations and transactions.
  • Work closely with banks and financial institutions for funding, credit facilities, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure timely processing of payments, intercompany transactions, and treasury-related activities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in financial reporting, GL, and treasury functions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline finance-related processes.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Assistant Manager / Manager - Finance position brings a wealth of experience in finance or accounting. With a minimum of 5 years' experience under your belt, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role, you are well-versed in IFRS/MFRS standards. Your strong knowledge of general ledger processes coupled with your experience in treasury management makes you an ideal fit for this role. Your expertise in fund flow management and banking operations will be invaluable in this position.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or a related field (Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA or CIMA is preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting or treasury, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS/MFRS), general ledger processes, and treasury management.
  • Experience with fund flow management, banking operations, and financial controls.
