As part of the finance team, you will play a fundamental role in optimising the company's current and long-term success. Your responsibilities will span across various areas including general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, tax compliance, and project management.
As a Finance Manager, you will be at the heart of our client's financial operations. You will be responsible for performing reviews and approvals to ensure smooth month-end closes with timely and accurate submissions. Your role will also involve ensuring tax compliance by reviewing GST, withholding tax, corporate tax, legal results budget, and forecasts. Collaborating with cross-functional teams on tactical projects or improvement initiatives will be a key part of your role. Ensuring internal and statutory compliance will also fall under your purview. Lastly, you will analyse the ROI of expenditures for major capital projects while reviewing balance sheets and legal tax budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform reviews and approvals to ensure smooth month end close with timely and accurate submission
- Ensure tax compliance, which includes reviewing of GST, withholding tax and corporate tax, legal results budget and forecasts
- Collaborate with cross functional teams on tactical projects and/or improvement initiatives
- Ensure internal and statutory compliance such as SOX, internal controls, statutory audit, quarterly reporting such as Controller checklist and 10-K report, and corporate secretarial matters
- Analyse ROI (Return on Investment) of expenditures for major Capital projects
- Review balance sheet and legal tax budget and forecasts
The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills are required for conveying information clearly to various stakeholders. Lastly, interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management abilities
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance
- Public accounting experience is preferred
- Professional qualification like ACCA, CPA, CFA or equivalent is required
- 8 years experience of previous related experience is required
- Experience working in a large manufacturing company is preferred.
- Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel, database tools (e.g., QlikView), financial systems, and ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP)
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
