They are seeking an Assistant Manager for their Finance team based in Kuala Lumpur. This role offers a competitive salary range of RM108,000 to RM132,000. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring assigned overseas operating units located in countries such as India, China, and Singapore. What you'll do:
As an Assistant Manager in Finance, your role will be multifaceted. You will be tasked with overseeing financial operations across multiple sectors and countries. Your excellent organisational skills will be put to use as you prepare and review various financial reports, ensuring they align with group policies. Your ability to communicate effectively will be crucial as you liaise with Heads of Finance departments across different locations. Additionally, you will assist the Senior Finance Manager in monitoring cash flow and preparing annual budgets.
* Oversee and actively communicate on the monthly management report/quarterly reports prepared by overseas finance teams.
* Prepare/review consolidation and quarterly/annual reporting packages for group reporting purposes.
* Review monthly management reports for investment holding/inactive/newly setup companies.
* Review tax computations/participate with overseas offices for annual tax compliance matters.
* Actively communicate and liaise with Head of Finance departments residing in overseas offices.
* Assist Senior Finance Manager in monitoring group cash flow and funding requirements for investment holding companies.
* Prepare/review annual budgets for active/operating companies.
* Ensure consistency and compliance with group policies and procedures among various offices.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Assistant Manager, Finance position brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table. With a minimum of 5 years' experience in the field, including at least 3 years in audit, you have honed your skills and are ready to take on new challenges. Your proficiency in MS Office and SAP will be invaluable in this role, as will your ability to work independently and within a team.
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance.
* Professional qualifications such as ACCA, ICAEW are encouraged.
* Minimum 5 years of working experiences with at least 3 years in audit.
* Proficiency with MS Office; knowledge in SAP is an added advantage.
* Excellent planning/organisational skills and ability to multi-task.
* Ability to work effectively within a team and in a multicultural environment.
* Independent and self-disciplined.
