What you'll do:
As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our client's mission to transform their industry. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Trade Management (TM) Unit, supervising the Accounts Receivable function, implementing effective internal controls for TM operations. Additionally, you will manage month-end and year-end closing activities, oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, assist in developing annual budget forecasts, ensure compliance with tax regulations. This role provides an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in finance management towards making a significant impact.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Trade Management Unit, ensuring efficiency and accuracy of all financial transactions.
- Supervise Accounts Receivable function, ensuring timely collection of receivables and effective management of outstanding debts.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls for TM operations.
- Manage banking relationship and act as lead liaison with the bank for any matters relating to receipts, payments and compliance requirements.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Oversee preparation of accurate financial statements and other relevant reports.
- Assist in developing and managing annual budget financial forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager position brings a wealth of experience in accounting, tax auditing, and managing finance operations. You hold a university degree in accounting and finance, with professional qualifications as a qualified accountant. Your strong technical accounting skills are complemented by your excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication. Your ability to prioritise tasks, attention to detail, and good organisational skills will be key to your success in this role.
- University degree in accounting and finance with professional qualification as a qualified accountant.
- 8-10 years’ experience in accounting, tax, audit and managing finance operations.
- Experience in system implementation and integration would be an added advantage.
- Strong technical accounting skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.
- Fluency in English and Malay.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (G Suite), Office 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, detail oriented with good organisational skills.
