An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Finance Manager to join a multinational manufacturer with over 10 production facilities globally. This role, based in Klang, offers the chance to work within an international setting and contribute significantly to the company's financial operations. What you'll do:
As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the company's financial operations. Your responsibilities will span across various aspects of finance including reviewing accounting entries, planning inventory counts, monitoring cash flow, ensuring accurate financial reporting, preparing budgets, participating in audits, and leading your team effectively. Your ability to analyse data and draft insightful financial commentaries will be crucial in driving business decisions. This role provides an excellent platform for growth and learning in a dynamic environment.
- Review and approve documents including claims, change requests, journal entries, payment requests, and adjustments/write-off requests on accounting, and stocks-related entries.
- Plan and review period inventory counts and ensure variance reports are duly completed.
- Monitor the company's cash flow position and propose optimal funding when necessary.
- Ensure timely and accuracy submission of financial reporting.
- Review monthly aging reports, reconciliation reports, and audit schedules, and clear long outstanding overdue items.
- Perform analysis and draft financial commentary on the schedules and reports.
- Prepare and review yearly budget/business plan preparation for revenue as required by management.
- Participate in internal and external audit exercises. Gather and provide information as requested.
- Provide supervision and guidance to the team members to ensure operation run smoothly at all times.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager role is someone who brings a wealth of experience in finance along with recognised professional qualifications such as ACCA or CPA. You should be a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants with at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Your ability to take initiative while meeting tight deadlines will be key in this role. We value individuals who are analytical, meticulous for details, possess high integrity and can work independently under pressure. Strong communication skills coupled with proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin will set you apart.
- A recognized professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA etc.
- Membership of Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
- 3-5 years of working experience in the related field.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines with initiative.
- Analytical skills with attention to detail.
- High integrity with ability to work independently.
- Good personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets skills and familiarity with ERP computer system.
- Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
