Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounting Manager to join their team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the overall financial function runs smoothly, including areas such as financial reporting, management reporting, inventory, assets management, tax planning and treasury control. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring monthly closings are done properly and timely, maintaining the general ledger and all related accounts with proper documentation and records of all company transactions. What you'll do:

As an Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the overall financial function of the organisation. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that monthly closings are done properly and timely while providing leadership guidance on the Month End close process. You will also be tasked with maintaining the general ledger along with all related accounts. Your role will extend to reviewing monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts while verifying the accuracy of bank statements. Furthermore, you will liaise with both internal and external auditors regarding compliance matters.

  • Ensure the overall financial function including financial reporting, management reporting, inventory & retail management, assets management, tax planning and treasury control runs smoothly
  • Ensure monthly closing is done properly and timely
  • Provide leadership guidance on Month End close process and support team on monthly financial reporting
  • Maintain the general ledger and all related accounts with proper documentation and records of all company transactions
  • Review monthly bank reconciliation for all accounts, verify accuracy of bank statements and maintain integrity of cash balances and cash flow systems
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors with regards to compliance with group and regulatory policies and procedures
  • Responsible for Company's relevant tax compliance i.e. withholding tax, Transfer Pricing, etc.
  • Develop & maintain good professional relationship with internal and external stakeholders i.e. auditor, tax agent, company secretary, consultants, lawyers, bankers, insurance, suppliers, related business

The ideal candidate for this Accounting Manager position brings a wealth of experience in managing overall financial functions within an organisation. You will have a strong background in areas such as financial reporting, management reporting, inventory & retail management, assets management, tax planning and treasury control. Your experience in maintaining general ledgers and related accounts will be crucial to your success in this role. Additionally, your ability to review bank reconciliations accurately and liaise with auditors regarding compliance matters will be highly valued.

  • Proven experience in managing overall financial functions within an organisation
  • Strong knowledge in financial reporting, management reporting, inventory & retail management, assets management, tax planning and treasury control
  • Experience in maintaining general ledgers and related accounts
  • Ability to review bank reconciliations accurately
  • Experience in liaising with internal and external auditors regarding compliance matters
