An exciting Accounting and Finance Manager job has just become available at a leading global hydraulics component and equipment manufacturing company with presence in Kuala Ketil, Kedah. Reporting directly to the Industrial Cost Controller and CFO, both based in Italy this role is ideal for professionals pursuing a career in accounting and finance who are ready to take their career to the next level.

About the Accounting and Finance Manager Role:
In this business critical role, you will be responsible for managing financial, accounting, statutory and fiscal matters as well as to build up a systematic financial structure and internal control mechanism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guarantee the highest possible quality of accounting / administrative resources and processes
• Manage the accounting functions and exercise governance and control over the financials and economics of the country
• Be responsible for statutory and financial statement according to local requirements for consolidation purposes
• Be responsible for all administration activities (general ledger, credit management, suppliers and payroll) and fiscal matters (corporate income taxes, VAT and custom duties)
• Implement and standardise accounting policies and procedures
• Ensure that all legal, corporate and financial matters are conducted in a manner that satisfies local legal and tax requirements and corporate guidelines
• Implement fast-closing procedures necessary to attend the monthly closing of the management account and the statutory closing of each fiscal year (Q1/Q2/H1/Q3/FY)
• Drive treasury control and management in accordance with group guidelines
• Manage cash flow control and generation
• Maintain strong credit control function. Regularly review credit strategy. Directly investigate problem accounts
• Prepare the financial analysis supporting major capital approval requests together with the Industrial Controller
• Coordinate the activities of the external auditor, as well the relation with the fiscal/accounting consultants
• Coordinate the subsequent post audit activities
• Together with the Industrial Controller, follow budgeting and forecasting activities and procedures in compliance with the activities and deadlines defined at a corporate level
• Ensure the respect of the Group Transfer Pricing Policies

To succeed in this Accounting and Finance Manager role, you will need to have a strong accounting background to oversee and lead the team in implementing fast closing procedure. You will also need extensive knowledge in working with government institutions (income tax, social security, insurance, etc.) and local fiscal, statutory and corporate matters.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent; professional accounting certification is preferred
• 10 - 15 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge in MFRS, taxation regulations, compliance of local statutory/fiscal and legal fulfilment
• Experience in cash flow management, treasury and corporate finance
