An exciting Finance Manager job has just become available at one of the conglomerates listed in Bursa Malaysia. In this role, you will be managing the financial reporting and finance operations related matters.

About the Finance Manager Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for working closely with overseas operation personnel, assist in establishing controls and procedures for their business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the financial and management accounting of finance overseas operations, including preparation of sub-group accounts under Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards
• Formulate and review the policies and procedures to ensure accounting and financial reports accurately reflect the conditions of the business and provide reliable information for control and management purposes
• Improve communications with overseas operation. Ensure the Group reporting requirements are set out and convey clearly and concisely to overseas operation
• Work closely with the tax department to comply with all tax requirements and ensure timely tax submissions

To succeed in this Finance Manager role, you must posses strong people management skills and be able to handle external audit matters independently.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in accounting or related professional qualifications
• Member of professional body (e.g. MIA, ICAEW, ACCA, MACPA, CPA, ICAA)
• Must be an MIA member
• Minimum of seven years of accounting experience and two years of experience at a managerial level
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Meticulous, highly organised and strong leadership qualities
• Good interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills
