About the Assistant Manager, Financial Controlling Role:
As the Assistant Manager, Financial Controlling, you will mainly be involved in handling the financial management reporting of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Group Finance Operations function post consolidation to present monthly result to CFO office and broader Leadership Team
• Analyse monthly Group performance and prepare associated management reporting. Align reporting commentary across the business and promote the use of standard KPIs and scorecards
• Work with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function to understand future forecasts. Actively provide guidance and solutions to profit steer towards year-end targets
• Work closely with Group Finance Operations and Business Units to review and maintain accounting policies and procedures, where necessary, includes computation and reconciliation. This includes but not limited to, stock provisions and accruals of expenses
• Work closely with Group Finance Operations in year-end audit process. Provide answers to Auditors where necessary
• Perform timely yearly impairment testing of Cash Generating Units (CGU), Real Estate and Group Equity. Propose mitigation measures and actions where required
• Work with IT, Finance Operations and Financial Planning & Analysis to actively improve finance. technology and associated processes. Write detailed requirements specifications for reporting function
• Perform associated UAT, testing and problem solving of system issues

To succeed in this Assistant Manager, Financial Controlling role, you must be a proactive, reliable, output-driven and detail-oriented finance professional with strong time management/prioritisation, presentation, analytical and people skills.

Key Requirements:

• Degree, preferably in finance and/or professional accounting qualification
• Four or more years of finance experience in a progressively growing capacity
• Strong command of written and verbal English
• Financial analysis, planning or reporting background
• Technically competent in accounting standards and reporting
• Business intelligence or management reporting technology implementation
• Ability to translate accounting requirements and outcomes into commercial advice
