Finance Manager

An exciting Finance Manager job has just become available at a digital healthcare organisation in Malaysia. This company is looking for an individual who is experienced in preparing financial statements and is well-versed in finance operations to be within their ranks.

About the Finance Manager Role:
Your role is focused on preparing and reviewing the financial statements for all entities within the group which includes Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and any other countries that they will be expanding to in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and finalise the monthly consolidated management accounts for internal and external stakeholders with analysis on monthly and quarterly trends as well as comparison with latest financial forecasts
• Construct and optimise the financial model together with the financial statement forecast that focuses on the latest key drivers of the business. This involves working closely with all the C-suites
• Prepare routine as well as ad hoc financial updates to our investor and board of directors
• Update consisting of, but not limited to, monthly financial statements and key business operating metrics
• Attend to financial due diligence questions and requests done by potential investors and partners leading up to financing rounds
• Work closely with the Senior and Junior Finance analysts to assure that all necessary accounting entries are captured in an accurate and timely manner. This includes but not limited to AP, AR, GL,tax, etc.
• Oversee the group financial audit with the team by working closely with the company auditors to ensure all audit requirements are fulfilled
• Manage and oversee all company ongoing grants together with the team. This includes the application stage at the beginning all the way till the claiming process at the end for each grant
• Handle any ad hoc tasks or requests that are financial related

The successful Finance Manager must have strong local finance knowledge in monthly end closing procedures, consolidation and financial modelling experience.

Key Requirements:

• At least a bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting/banking or equivalent (majoring in finance or accounting is an added advantage)
• At least seven to eight years' work experience
• Prior experience in a similar role is an advantage
• Demonstrated professionalism, integrity at work, mature, detail-oriented, independent, dependable and trustworthy
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with different stakeholders
