Head of RTR

An exciting Head of RTR job has just become available at one of the shared services based in Petaling Jaya. Reporting to the Centre Director, you will be a part of the dynamic team.

About the Head of RTR Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all underlying accounting activities across record to report for all entities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and sustain strong, trusted relationships with the finance community and other parts of the regional businesses. Report and follow through of all reconciling items, prioritising based on relevance and risk and drive regional balance sheet reviews and escalating risk
• Ensure adequate financial controls are in place to meet the company’s compliance and data security standards. Coordinate all requests from external and internal auditors
• Ensure the SSC works within a robust and effective internal control and governance framework to ensure all underlying accounting activity is accurate. Identify continuous improvement, outlining ways in which processes could be streamlined
• Develop a high-performing team, with clear progression and succession plan. Monitor and embed financial controls across the business, to minimise risk and ensure internal/external audits are clean
• Advocate for sharing leading practices across regions and drive continuous improvement through KPIs and metrics
• Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, compliance and high performance
• Establish and sustain strong, trusted relationships with the finance community and other parts of the regional businesses

To succeed in the Head of RTR role, you will need to be able to lead and empower people, remove road blocks and act as an advocate for their team with the ability to adapt style as necessary.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in accounting or professionally qualified with ACCA/CPA/ICAEW/CIMA
• Substantial and demonstrated experience in a leadership role within a global organisation; with specific experience in leading accounting teams
• Clear customer service focus to drive improvements for all customers
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated experience of general financial accounting, financial data management and reporting within a multinational organisation with an unfaltering attention to detail
• Problem analysis and problem resolution abilities at both a strategic and functional level
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to connect with people – a good influencer, especially within a matrix environment
• Written and verbal fluency in English is essential
