What you'll do:

As Director of Global Business Services you will play an instrumental role in shaping the strategic direction of the shared services division.

• Define and execute comprehensive organisational, financial, and operational strategies for the Global Business Services function by evaluating business trends to improve productivity, quality, and service delivery.
• Provide strategic direction across Finance Shared Services functions such as RTR, OTC, PTP
• Lead transformation programmes and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening global operations, streamlining processes, and driving cost optimisation throughout the organisation.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Team by delivering actionable insights, analytics, and strategic recommendations that promote accountability and enhance overall business performance.
• Build and maintain a high-performance culture through effective performance management systems, employee engagement activities, and targeted leadership development programmes.
• Establish clear and measurable key performance indicators (KPIs) for the GBS organisation while monitoring outcomes using robust data-driven performance tracking methodologies.
• Champion the adoption of innovation, automation technologies, and digital tools to further enhance process efficiency as well as service quality across all shared services functions.
• Provide expert leadership in budget management, financial planning processes, cost-benefit analysis exercises, and forecasting activities to support informed strategic decision-making at all levels.
• Prepare detailed business cases, financial reports, and executive summaries that facilitate alignment among senior leaders regarding organisational direction.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field is required; professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA or CIMA are considered advantageous for this position.
• A minimum of 15 years’ progressive experience in Finance or Shared Services / Global Business Services (GBS), including at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity overseeing multi-functional teams or regions.
• Demonstrated track record in finance transformation projects as well as process optimisation initiatives that have delivered measurable improvements in performance management.
• Proven ability to provide strategic financial leadership by influencing business outcomes through advanced insights generation and analytics capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills combined with outstanding communication abilities that facilitate change leadership across diverse groups.
• Proficiency in leveraging technology platforms automation solutions data analytics tools to drive business efficiency informed decision-making throughout the organisation.
