What you'll do:

As Senior Finance Manager – Manufacturing, you will take ownership of all aspects of financial management for the Malaysian operations. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating closely with senior leaders across departments to develop robust financial strategies that underpin business growth. You will lead key processes such as budgeting, forecasting, statutory reporting, tax submissions, audit coordination, and cost optimisation. • Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies that align with both regional objectives and global business goals, ensuring long-term value creation for the organisation.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for multiple business units, delivering accurate projections that inform critical business decisions.
• Drive improvements in working capital management, cash flow optimisation, and cost structures by identifying efficiencies across all areas of finance operations.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of periodic financial statements in accordance with IFRS and statutory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
• Act as a trusted partner to the country management team by providing insightful financial analysis and advice that supports effective decision-making at every level.
• Manage direct reports through coaching, succession planning, hiring, training, communication, organisational development initiatives, and personal development plans.
• Ensure timely completion of external audits by liaising with auditors and implementing recommendations promptly to maintain unqualified audit opinions.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, local legislative requirements, and group audit standards to safeguard organisational integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on major investment projects, master data management in ERP systems, transfer pricing policy application, and process automation initiatives.
• Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement by championing process enhancements and optimising human resources within the finance function.

What you bring:

• A university degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Economics (or equivalent), complemented by a professional accountancy certification such as ACCA or CIMA is highly desirable.
• At least 10 years’ experience in accounting or controlling roles within multinational or manufacturing environments is essential for success in this position.
• A minimum of 5 years’ proven track record in senior finance management roles where you have demonstrated progressive leadership capabilities is required.
• Comprehensive understanding of IFRS principles as well as practical experience implementing standard costing techniques are necessary skills for this role.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), cross-border team management and integration of acquired businesses would be advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills including change management experience are needed to implement new initiatives effectively within complex environments.
• Excellent analytical abilities in financial performance reporting coupled with sound business acumen are expected from candidates applying for this position.
• High standards of communication skills—both written and spoken English—are required to build credibility among diverse workgroups locally and regionally.
