Our client in Penang is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team.
This key executive role will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and strategies of the organisation, driving financial performance, and ensuring long-term financial sustainability. The CFO will provide financial leadership, develop high-performing teams, and build strong relationships with investors and financial institutions. What you'll do:
As the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a crucial role in driving our client's financial performance. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include developing financial strategies that align with the company's goals, providing leadership to the finance team, overseeing all aspects of financial operations from accounting to budgeting, monitoring the company's financial health, managing cash flow, identifying risks, ensuring compliance with regulations, evaluating potential business opportunities such as mergers or acquisitions. You will also be expected to build strong relationships with investors and other stakeholders.
- Develop and implement financial strategies and plans aligned with the company's goals and objectives
- Provide financial leadership and recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors
- Oversee all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Monitor financial performance and implement measures to ensure the company's financial health
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure
- Identify and assess financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, leading due diligence and integration efforts

The ideal candidate for this Chief Financial Officer position brings a wealth of experience in senior finance leadership roles. With at least 10 years of progressive experience in financial management roles under your belt, you have developed strong financial acumen that has driven success in dynamic environments. Your exceptional analytical skills enable you to think strategically about complex problems. Your excellent communication skills allow you to effectively convey your ideas to others.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior finance leadership role
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in financial management roles
- Strong financial acumen with a track record of driving financial success in dynamic environments
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
