This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and direct the development and implementation of strategic plans, ensuring the company's objectives and long-term goals are met. The successful candidate will be involved in identifying potential business opportunities, analysing market trends, assessing competitive landscapes, and identifying growth opportunities. What you'll do:
As a General Manager Corporate Planning, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future direction of our client's organisation. You will be responsible for leading the development of strategic plans that align with the company's vision and mission. Your role will involve identifying potential business opportunities, analysing market trends, assessing competitive landscapes, and identifying growth opportunities. You will also be tasked with evaluating business proposals to ensure they align with long-term plans and profit objectives. Your ability to conduct market intelligence studies will be vital in forecasting industry trends and keeping abreast of developments within the Logistics Industry.

  • Strategise, develop, facilitate & propose conceptual business plan & framework for long term growth
  • Plan and develop Business Development strategies by identifying opportunities
  • Evaluate business proposals such as new business or joint ventures
  • Conduct market intelligence study including analysis of competitors' business strategies
  • Propose and negotiate business deals/ packages especially on new business ventures
  • Estimate project costs, including initial investment, operating expenses, and capital expenditures
  • Assess potential risks on investments and implement appropriate risk management strategies
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the effectiveness of strategic initiatives
  • Communicate strategic plans, progress, and outcomes to executive leadership, board members, and other stakeholders
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the corporate planning team


What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this General Manager Corporate Planning position brings a wealth of experience in strategic planning and corporate development. You will have a proven track record in the Logistics Industry, with strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data and market trends. Your understanding of economic analysis and expertise in mergers and acquisitions will be crucial to your success in this role. Additionally, your extensive experience in total logistics and supply chain management, coupled with a strong network in GLCs, will be highly advantageous.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Minimum 8-10 year of working experience preferably in Logistics Industry
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, corporate development, or related roles
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and market trends impacting the logistics value chain management
  • Understanding of economic analysis and practical expertise in the filed of mergers and acquisitions
  • Extensive experience in total logistics and supply chain management together with a strong network in GLCs
