About the Financial Controller Role: As the Financial Controller, you will assume as business partner within the organization, to develop and enhance the finance capability of financial planning, analysis and controllership to support business growth.
Provide leadership and financial expertise to address and seek opportunities for continuing growth and margin expansi
Work closely with business leaders to provide needed financial counsel and support for decision making, and in-depth financial and operational analysis to drive profitable and sustainable business growth and operation productivity improvement
Lead annual AOP and LRP (long range planning) processes and provide accurate and meaningful financial information and provide interpretive, value-added guidance in addition to standard reporting and data compilation required for the business to achieve its financial objectives
Ensure that proper processes are in place for the accurate forecasting of sales, costs, working capital, fixed capital investments and return on investment
Oversee credit and collection initiatives to ensure that credit policies are enforced throughout the organization and that timely collections are made.
Assume responsibility for improving process efficiency and implementing cost controls/programs within the organisation
Ensure that corporate reporting requirements are met in a timely fashion and in accordance with US GAAP and other appropriate requirements, and that the business complies with components of Sarbanes-Oxley, especially for FICAP, SIC, SOX, FCPA and local statutory and tax requirement
Ensure all project recording and treatment (including booking/revenue and costs but not limited to them) are in line with relevant policies, LOA and processes
Support other ad hoc financial professional tasks and projects in Malaysia/region
To succeed in this Financial Controller role, you must be a high energy, responsive, detail-oriented, and experienced leader with strong communication, presentation, negotiation, analytical, operational and people skills.
Tertiary qualification in Business/Finance/Accounting/Investment/Economics
At least 10 years of work experience, with at least five years in leadership role.
Strong negotiation skills with a good understanding of current market practice.
Team player with strong interpersonal and project management skills, resourceful, and able to deliver results under tight deadlines
Written and verbal proficiency in English
Good presentation and writing skills
