Financial Controller

An exciting Financial Controller job has just become available at one of the MNCs based in Johor Bahru.

About the Financial Controller Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for carrying out the day-to-day operations, project accounting, monitoring CAPEX and treasury functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of accountants and oversee the financial and management reporting function of production plant
• Assess the impact and presentation of accounts for the changes in accounting standards, listing rules and relevant laws and regulations in Malaysia
• Review financial statements and the consolidated accounts to ensure the compliance to accounting standard and relevant laws and regulations
• Provide financial analysis and prepare reports for management review
• Monitor the accounting reporting systems and mechanism to ensure their accuracy and efficiency
• Manage and coordinate the statutory audit review with external auditors
• Ensure tax compliance of the company
• Assist to drive the implementation of special projects
• Report to business financial controller in the headquarter

To succeed in the Financial Controller role, you will need to have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Requirements:

• Degree holder with a recognised professional accounting qualification
• At least 10 years’ management experience, preferably gained from sizeable organisation
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Mature, independent with sound analytical mind
• Good command of both written and spoken English; Fluency in Mandarin is required as the candidate is required to work with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
