This is a newly set-up organisation where you will be get the opportunity to set the direction of the finance department in a Chief Financial Officer (Start Up) job. You will be given the autonomy to grow your team and you will be a reliable business partner to the CEO.
About the Chief Financial Officer (Start Up) Role:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be leading the finance department in ensuring compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring timely monthly closing and reporting of financial books
- Preparing financial report, financial statements and annual report in compliance with the regulations
- Preparing insightful analysis of numbers to the business
- Ensuring controls are in place and processes are compliant with policies
- Key liaison person for external auditors, tax and other stakeholders
To succeed in the Chief Financial Officer (Start Up) position, you must possess circa 20 years of relevant working experience in a fast-paced environment and large organisation.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy/professional qualification recognised by MIA
- Experience working in a public listed company is an added advantage
- Strong stakeholder engagement and familiar with change management
- Ability to understand the business and lead/guide the finance team
- Meticulous, independent, organised and ability to interact at all levels
