Credit Controller

Job Title: Credit Controller – South East Asia Market Location: Kuala Lumpur

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the credit control process for clients across the South East Asia market, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments.
• Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue invoices and proactively follow up on payments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to address payment issues professionally and efficiently.
• Assess creditworthiness of new and existing clients, setting appropriate credit limits in line with company policies.
• Reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate record-keeping of all transactions.
• Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, aging analysis, and cash flow forecasts.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, finance) to resolve billing or payment disputes.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies related to credit management.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role, preferably within the South East Asia market.
• Strong understanding of credit control processes, financial principles, and regional regulations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to handle sensitive client interactions effectively.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word).
• High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of cultural nuances and business practices in the South East Asia region is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
