About the Role:
The Credit Controller / Senior Credit Controller will be responsible for managing the collections process for client accounts of RW & RPO business units. In addition, the Credit Controller will ensure timely and accurate monitoring of aging reports, follow up promptly on outstanding payments, and resolve any issues or disputes effectively and independently.
Responsibilities:
Debt Collection and Recovery
- Proactive monitoring and follow up of debtor balances to ensure that fees are paid within terms to allow reduction in debtors DSO
- Develop and implement effective debt collection strategies to minimise bad debt and maximise cash flow
- Able to independently resolve client issues, negotiate payment plans and always look for effective ways to improve collections with a view for optimum recovery
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess credit risk and identify effective collection strategies
Accounts Receivable Management
- Oversee the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment allocation and reconciliation
- Ensure that all follow up actions are recorded promptly in preparation for weekly review of status
- Strong organisational skills to handle multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and handle disputes in a professional and courteous manner
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and to raise any distress cases early so as to reduce the aged balances that are overdue
- Ability to handle difficult conversations and maintain professionalism under pressure with both internal and external stakeholders
Process Improvement and Compliance
- Identify areas for process improvement, implement changes and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and company policies
- Ensure credit and collections procedures are followed
Reporting & other tasks assigned
- Where required, to prepare weekly and monthly reports on the status of collections and outstanding accounts
- To conduct credit checks and seek approval on extended payment terms
Any other tasks as assigned that falls under the remit of the Credit team
Who you are:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Credit Control role
- Able to read and write in Chinese as we will be dealing with China clients
- Prior experience and demonstrated ability in managing challenging stakeholders and working in a supervisory role would be highly advantageous
- Proficiency in Dynamics 365 software and Microsoft Suite would be advantageous
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple accounts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external stakeholder interaction
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
