This company is a leading player in the automotive industry with a network of more than 10 outlets across Malaysia, is seeking an Executive for their Accounts Receivable department. What you'll do:

As an Executive in Accounts Receivable, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the company's business. Your responsibilities will include overseeing accounts receivable operations, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and internal controls. You will also be responsible for maintaining the Account Receivable Ledger and managing credit limits. In addition, you will work closely with stakeholders to suggest process modifications and implement relevant system functionality within the Finance Operations function. Your role will also involve preparing relevant schedules and compiling additional financial information analyses for the Manager of Finance Operations.

* Oversee Accounts Receivable operations ensuring compliance with relevant accounting principles and internal controls

* Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer refunds, credit notes and commission verification

* Responsible for Account Receivable Ledger creation, maintenance, and credit limit management

* Work closely with Functional Stakeholders to suggest modifications to processes and implement relevant system functionality within the Finance Operations function

* Prepare relevant schedules, necessary compilation of additional financial information analyses for Manager, Finance Operations

* Participate in the development of process improvement in Finance and uphold modernization of finance skillsets

* Maintain strong compliance of control procedures, i.e. credit policy in carrying out daily tasks

* Ensure timely preparation of reconciliations, i.e. inter-companies and third-party receivable to ensure all transactions have been accounted for within the Group

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Executive, Accounts Receivable position brings at least two years of progressive experience in finance. A degree or diploma in finance or an accounting qualification is preferred. You should have a strong background in internal controls and industry knowledge of best practices for finance operations. Excellent command of written and verbal English is essential. Proven experience in team growth and implementing transformation, along with adaptability to new technologies, is highly desirable. Good time-management skills and the ability to manage tasks systematically are also required.

* At least two years of finance experience in a progressively growing capacity

* Diploma/Degree (any level), preferably in finance, or Accounting qualification (any type)

* Strong internal controls background, industry knowledge of best practice for finance operations

* Excellent command of written and verbal English

* Proven experience in team growth and implementing transformation with adaptability to new technologies

* Good time-management skills and ability to manage tasks systematically

* Great interpersonal and communication skills to handle challenging discussions diplomatically
