What you'll do:

As a Corporate Finance Manager based in Penang Head Office, you will be entrusted with responsibilities that span fund-raising initiatives, treasury management, banking facility oversight, participation in major corporate exercises like IPOs or M&A transactions, as well as preparing critical reports for strategic planning. Your day-to-day will involve collaborating with various internal departments—business development, legal—and external partners such as bankers or auditors. Success in this role requires you to maintain dependable relationships with stakeholders while supporting the execution of complex financial models and due diligence processes. You will also contribute to nurturing junior team members for future leadership roles. The scope of this position ensures you are constantly engaged in meaningful projects that shape the direction of the business while enjoying flexibility in your working arrangements.

  • Assist in fund-raising activities by sourcing and liaising with financial institutions and external advisors to meet the Group’s funding requirements.
  • Manage treasury operations and cash flow planning to ensure effective utilisation of financial resources across all business units.
  • Oversee banking facilities including applications, utilisation, settlements, periodic reviews, and compliance with financial covenants and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate actively in corporate exercises such as IPOs, mergers & acquisitions, investments, and foreign exchange hedging initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including business development, legal, bankers, company secretaries, auditors, and tax advisors to perform financial modelling and due diligence.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial and management reports that support strategic planning and informed decision-making processes.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key financial stakeholders both internally and externally to foster trust and co-operation.
  • Undertake ad-hoc assignments or special projects as required by senior management to address evolving business needs.
  • Support the grooming of subordinates for succession planning while fostering a positive team environment.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to relevant legal, financial, and regulatory requirements applicable to investment banks.

What you bring:

To excel as a Corporate Finance Manager within this organisation, you will bring substantial experience from public listed companies or similarly dynamic environments where accounting or corporate finance functions are central. Your academic background should include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance; additional professional qualifications such as CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA will further distinguish you. Your proven expertise in investment banking or fundraising—alongside strong networks among fund managers & bankers—will enable you to deliver on ambitious projects. You possess deep knowledge of Malaysian corporate legislation relevant to investment banks combined with advanced analytical capabilities for valuation and financial modelling. Your proficiency in Microsoft Office tools ensures efficient reporting while your planning skills allow seamless coordination across diverse teams. Interpersonal sensitivity is key: your ability to connect kindly with colleagues at all levels fosters trustful collaboration. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance is required; professional accountancy qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) is an added advantage.
  • At least 3-4 years of hands-on relevant experience within public listed companies or similar dynamic operating environments in accounting or corporate finance divisions.
  • Proven track record in investment banking or fundraising activities along with established networking relationships with fund managers & bankers is highly desirable.
  • Competent knowledge of Malaysia corporate legislation as well as legal, financial, and regulatory requirements applicable to investment banks.
  • Experience in valuation techniques, advanced financial analysis methods, and robust financial modelling skills are essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Strong planning and co-ordination abilities enabling concurrent work with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills allowing you to deal effectively with colleagues from all levels as well as external partners.
  • Positive attitude coupled with willingness to learn new concepts; proven ability as a supportive team player.
