What you'll do:
As a Corporate Finance Manager at this automotive conglomerate in Kota Kemuning, Selangor, you will play an integral role in driving the company's growth agenda through expert management of corporate finance initiatives. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve supporting complex mergers and acquisitions from inception through execution by leveraging your analytical acumen in financial modelling and valuation. You will prepare insightful investment materials for senior management while coordinating with both internal teams and external advisors to ensure successful transaction outcomes. Your ability to conduct rigorous due diligence processes will be essential in identifying risks and translating findings into actionable commercial strategies. * Support the full lifecycle of mergers and acquisitions including deal screening, financial analysis, valuation exercises, due diligence coordination, deal structuring, and execution of transactions.
* Prepare and review comprehensive financial models such as discounted cash flow analyses, comparable company assessments, precedent transaction reviews, scenario planning, and sensitivity analyses to inform investment decisions.
* Assist in drafting investment papers, board presentations, and management decks that clearly communicate key findings and recommendations to executive leadership.
* Coordinate effectively with external advisors including Big 4 firms, legal counsel, tax consultants, bankers, and valuers throughout all stages of corporate transactions.
* Perform detailed business valuations for acquisitions, disposals, restructuring efforts, and internal strategic reviews to ensure accurate assessment of value drivers.
* Analyse historical performance data alongside projected financial outcomes and cash flows to identify trends and support robust decision-making processes.
* Conduct thorough industry research as well as market and competitor analysis to provide actionable insights for strategic planning.
* Lead or support financial due diligence processes by evaluating quality of earnings reports, working capital requirements, net debt positions, and identifying key risks associated with potential deals.
* Review findings from financial, tax, and operational due diligence activities to translate technical results into clear commercial insights for stakeholders.
* Collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, Tax, and Operations teams to ensure seamless alignment on deal execution while assisting in the improvement of internal corporate finance processes.

* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or related fields is required for this position.
* Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CFA or ICAEW are considered advantageous for candidates applying for this role.
* A minimum of five years’ relevant experience in Corporate Finance, Transaction Advisory Services (TAS), Deal Advisory or Big 4 audit with direct exposure to transactional work is essential; Big 4 background is strongly preferred.
* Demonstrated hands-on experience in building robust financial models using Excel along with advanced PowerPoint presentation skills is necessary.
* Solid understanding of accounting standards coupled with the ability to interpret complex financial statements accurately is expected from applicants.
* Proven track record in conducting business valuations as well as leading or supporting due diligence assignments across various industries is highly desirable.
