What you'll do:


As Head of Corporate Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement based in Petaling Jaya for this public-listed real estate developer, you will play an integral role in shaping both the strategic direction of the company and its relationships with key stakeholders. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with senior management to set ambitious yet achievable targets that align with organisational objectives. You will oversee critical processes such as annual operating planning alongside finance teams while curating impactful board-level strategy sessions. By leading market intelligence efforts—including benchmarking against industry standards—you will provide valuable insights that inform decision-making at every level. In addition to managing investor relations with clarity and transparency, you will champion HR initiatives designed to attract top talent, foster employee engagement, develop future leaders through coaching programmes, and design equitable reward systems. Success in this role requires not only technical expertise but also an ability to build trustful networks across departments—ensuring everyone feels valued within a supportive environment.


* Formulate and drive the overall corporate strategy and performance agenda by actively engaging investors and shareholders to maximise value creation for all stakeholders.
* Set direction, strategy, and targets for the company in alignment with short- and long-term business goals while ensuring collaborative input from senior management.
* Lead strategic decision-making processes regarding capital structure and allocation to support sustainable growth across diverse assets and operations.
* Develop comprehensive corporate strategies and tactical plans that cascade throughout the organisation to ensure consistent execution at all levels.
* Plan, monitor, and escalate issues related to strategic and tactical action plans so that key value drivers are supported over both immediate and extended timeframes.
* Act as custodian of the Corporate Scorecard as well as level 1 GMD direct reports’ scorecards to maintain alignment with performance targets.
* Oversee the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process in partnership with the Finance team to ensure robust financial planning and resource allocation.
* Curate programmes and content for high-impact strategy sessions such as Board Strategy meetings and Management Reviews to foster shared understanding among stakeholders.
* Lead market research initiatives including industry benchmarking, trend analysis, competitive threat assessment, investment regulation review, risk evaluation, financial returns analysis, and forecasting.
* Manage investor relations by communicating a clear equity story to the investment community/shareholders while reporting feedback to management for continuous value creation.
* Support HR strategic initiatives focused on recruitment/retention, talent development/management, succession planning, employee engagement; coach leaders to nurture future talent.
* Assist HR in conceptualising equity-based rewards/remuneration strategies that motivate team members within the company’s value system.

* Bring 6–8 years’ experience in strategic planning roles or management consulting/corporate finance/investments where you have demonstrated your ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
* Showcase previous exposure within the real estate sector or property development industry which enables you to understand market dynamics intimately.
* Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills that allow you to connect with colleagues at all levels—from board members to operational staff—and foster inclusive communication channels.
* Exhibit proven experience in developing corporate strategies/tactical plans that have delivered measurable results for organisations similar in scale or complexity.
* Display sensitivity towards stakeholder needs—especially when engaging investors/shareholders—and communicate complex information clearly yet empathetically.
* Possess analytical abilities required for market research/benchmarking/trend analysis while remaining considerate of broader business impacts beyond numbers alone.
* Have experience supporting HR initiatives such as recruitment/retention/talent development/succession planning/employee engagement—showing your nurturing approach towards team growth.
