Director Post Investment Strategy

Our client is a globally recognised retail company with a footprint in key markets across Asia and Europe. They are seeking a Director Post Investment Strategy to oversee the strategic and operational performance of their post-investment portfolio.

This role is pivotal in ensuring that acquired or invested entities align with the company's strategic objectives, deliver expected financial returns, and enhance overall group synergies

• Oversee strategic and operational performance of post-investment portfolio
• Lead post-investment value creation and financial performance monitoring
• Manage operational integration and risk for acquired businesses or strategic partnerships

What you'll do:

You will be responsible for developing strategies that optimise the financial and operational performance of acquired businesses. Your ability to establish KPIs aligned with strategic objectives will be critical in this role.

• Lead cross-functional teams in integrating new acquisitions into the company’s operational framework, ensuring seamless synergy realization
• Provide strategic direction and oversight to portfolio businesses to enhance revenue growth, cost efficiency, and profitability
• Assess and manage risks related to post-investment entities, developing mitigation strategies as needed
• Drive performance improvements in areas such as financial management, supply chain optimization, and market expansion for acquired businesses
• Build strong relationships with senior management of acquired companies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
• Prepare post-investment reports for senior leadership and board meetings, providing insights and recommendations for sustained growth

What you bring:

The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in post-investment management, corporate strategy, business transformation, or financial analysis. Your strong financial acumen and experience in financial modelling, budgeting, and performance analysis will be key to your success in this role.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in post-investment management, corporate strategy, business transformation, or financial analysis
• Proven track record in managing and optimizing acquired businesses or strategic partnerships in a retail or consumer-focused industry
• Experience in operational integration and synergy realization post-acquisition.
