Corporate Finance Manager

An exciting Corporate Finance Manager job has become available at an large conglemerate company based in Kuala Lumpur.

Our client is seeking a Corporate Finance Manager to join their dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in driving investment-related activities for the Group, including identifying, screening, assessing and executing investment opportunities. Post-investment, you will work closely with the Business Development Team to monitor the performance of the investee company. Your day-to-day activities will involve qualitative and quantitative company/industry research and financial analysis/modelling.

What you'll do:

As a Corporate Finance Manager, your primary responsibility will be to support the Business Development team in driving various investment-related activities. You will be involved in identifying, screening, assessing and executing investment opportunities. Your analytical skills will be put to use as you undertake market/industry analysis, company/business model analysis and peer/competitor analysis. You will also prepare presentations for internal proposals, approval papers, and periodic performance update materials.

• Support Business Development team members in identifying and assessing investment opportunities
• Perform specific financial and qualitative analyses required in evaluating deal opportunities
• Prepare presentations for relevant stakeholders
• Assist Business Development team members in project management, deal execution, due diligence exercises and post-deal monitoring
• Provide support in any areas that the HoD deems necessary for the team’s investment activities
• Liaise with other functional colleagues (e.g. Finance, Legal, Tax) when carrying out the activities for the department

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Corporate Finance Manager position will have strong analytical/financial modelling skills along with proficient Excel and PowerPoint skills. You should have a solid understanding of corporate finance principles and project management skills. Experience in M&A department in reputable investment bank / Big 4 accounting firms or In-house corporate finance, corporate or business development or Private equity is highly desirable. A CFA qualification would be beneficial but is not essential.
